Rotherham United vs Tranmere Rovers Preview Match October 22, 2013

Rotherham pair Michael O'Connor and Lee Frecklington will both miss out against former boss Ronnie Moore's Tranmere as a result of suspension. O'Connor received a straight red card inside weekend defeat at MK Dons and starts a three-game ban, while fellow midfielder Frecklington sits out one match after reaching five yellow cards.


Michael Tidser could be recalled in their absence with Kari Arnason pushed up into midfield alongside him, with either Mark Bradley or Pablo Mills stepping into the heart of defence.

Manager Steve Evans has no new injury concerns, but defender Claude Davis (hamstring) and winger David Worrall (groin) remain long-term absentees.

Ian Goodison joins the growing list of absentees for Tranmere for the clash.

The veteran defender will be from action for three games following his red card from the 4-0 drubbing by Leyton Orient at the weekend.

Joe Thompson (illness), Sam Ramsbottom (ankle), Evan Horwood (groin) and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (abscess) are nevertheless ruled out, leaving Ronnie Moore which has a skeletal squad to pick from with the Millers visit.

Jason Koumas may be in line to get a go back to action after he was named among the substitutes on Saturday after recovering from a groin strain.
